ESSO
I almost forgot.
As we were driving around last Sunday we passed by a little store across from the "Bikers Welcome" motel on NC-18 at the Blue Ridge Parkway. Technically, I suppose that would put us in the Laurel Springs community of Cranberry Township.
Anyhow, this rustic little store had a brace of old ESSO gasoline pumps positioned one on either side of the front door. An old ESSO sign was attached to the building above the door. Between the top of the door and the ESSO sign was neatly written the store's name, Past Gas.
I nearly ran off the road.
