A Beckett Haiku
This year is the centenary of the Irish writer, Samuel Beckett. His prose is sometimes described as the literary equivalent of abstract painting. Indeed, his play, "Waiting for Godot", in which two men wait on two separate occasions for someone who never shows was famously described by one critic as "nothing happens, twice".
So, I got to thinking about what a haiku of Beckett's work might be like.
