Hello, Lowe's

After a 24-hour cool down, I contacted Lowe's by telephone at their headquarters and spoke with a real person about my complaint. She said, "That isn't suppose to happen. Someone in management will call you within 24 hours." She took my name, address, telephone number, alternate and telephone number, carefully repeating each to ensure she had them entered correctly.

I said (to myself), "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

The sales manager call me within 3 hours. I related my story to him. He said, "That isn't the way our folks are suppose to do business with customers. I'll look into it and call you back."

I said (to myself), "Yeah, yeah, yeah."

Twenty-four hours later he calls back to say that he has met with the staff at that store, the situation has been corrected, regrets what happened and wants me to visit him on my next visit for a discount on my next purchase.

That's more like the Lowe's I know and, until I visit that store again, I'll take him at his word.

If it's true, he probably just sold me an electric generator.
