On the Mountain

Here's a couple of photographs that The Donald made on our recent sojourn to the mountains.

This photograph was made on Wilburn Ridge at Massey Gap in Grayson Highlands State Park where cell phones don't work. The Donald wrote that this picture "is the explanation of why we hike." He's got that right! There's nothing like the communion of just you and the mountains and the sky. Total isolation. In fact, in three days of hiking, we met only one other person and, of course, the herd of wild ponies at Grayson Highlands.

Here Sam is with me on Katherine's Knob. It's a might fine photograph of Sam.

Thanks for the images, Don.
