B3B
It's my great pleasure to introduce you to B3B, "Bouncing Baby Boy" Balow, aged 20 weeks since conception. Yup, thanks to WaWa and Ed, the CFO and I have a grandchild with a Balow Y chromosome on the way!
At 20 weeks, B3B weighs in at about a pound in these ultrasound images where bones appear as white areas, water as black areas and body tissues as grey areas. Check out those ribs, neck bones, and skull in this profile, folks!
Here you can see two heart chambers (dark spots below chin), fingers on two hands (below nose and bottom), breast bone, arm bone, etc. WaWa reports that the baby has all the requisite fingers and toes, four heart chambers, kidneys, brain stem, spine, nostrils, stomach, bladder, eye sockets, gut and, yes, a "boy thingy" as she calls it. (However, in the interest of avoiding potential charges of distributing prenatal porn, we've not posted a picture of the "thingy" part.)
Medical imagery is amazing these days. In the live views they could see the baby moving, sucking its thumb, and pushing out against the womb. They could also hear the heartbeat (137 beats per minute).
A name has been chosen for the baby but I'll not use it just yet. Who knows, it might look like another name when he makes his grand entrance on, or about, July 23.
So, for now I'll just call my grandson B3B.
