It's a Bird, It's a Plane ...

... it's ... it's the Goodyear blimp!

The guy from Delp's Lumber had just finished unloading a load of mulch when we heard what sounded like a giant Weed Eater coming over the mountain. As the nose appeared above the trees, my first impression was that it was a hot air balloon. But, no, in a few moments the Goodyear blimp was floating over the house not more than 100 feet in the air.

Well, bobbing and weaving would be a better description of what it was doing as the updrafts from the valley below Low Notch Gap buffeted it to and fro. It looked as if the pilot had his hands full and I wasn't certain that the thing wasn't going to fall from the sky for a few moments. But, alas, it was soon stabilized and buzzing it's way to the northeast and out of sight.

There's just never a dull moment on the mountain, folks!

But, still, the Goodyear blimp?
