Ghosts

I don't understand it at all. I clean the house, launder the clothes and wash the dishes and, in a few days time, the house is dirty, the clothes hamper is full and I'm out of cereal bowls ... again. Who's doing all that? Sam uses the same two bowls day in and day out, her only piece of clothing is a collar and one dog could not possibly track in that much dust and dirt. Must be some kind of ghost doing all that dirty work is about all I can figure. Yes, that's it! Remember Pigpen in Charles Schultz's cartoon, Peanuts? It's Pigpen's ghost.

Anyhow, the househusband did a complete (except for dusting and the CFO caught that) cleaning job AGAIN last Friday because the Alleghany Arts and Crafts storekeepers were coming over for barbecue on Saturday. They are group of coop members who tend the store pro bono. I cooked chicken wings (both Buffalo and Spanish style), pork and beef ribs, and a barbecue pork shoulder. The CFO made the slaw, banana pudding, oatmeal cookies, sweetea, and various appetizers. (One of the people was celiac and another was vegan. Fortunately, only the desserts contained gluten and the vegan brought her own food!) The weather cooperated and we had a nice evening on the deck.

The CFO and I played golf on Sunday and so passed the weekend.

And, the house needs another %$^$#^ cleaning!
