Mushrooms!

Can you believe it? Mushrooms already!


Well, these may grow on logs but they aren't Shitakes. They appear to be Hairy Stereums and I found them while killing those Mountain Maples below the path this afternoon. They are a "leather" fungus, pretty to the eye but maybe not so tasty to eat.
