Happy Birthday

Yup. Kyle Edward Balow is two weeks old today. He's doing very well and is about ready to begin the first big growth spurt. Mom and Dad have finally realized that he isn't going to break and quit reading the "how-to" books. They have now learned to read Kyle and everything is going smoothly as their experience and confidence grows daily.

Grandpa's usefulness is waning and, like fish after three days, he's beginning to stink. Actually, it's been 15 days and he's more like Swedish surstromming, a herring fermented in barrels for months, that smells like rubbish left out in the sun for days. Not only that, but a record high temperature of 102°F was set at BWI airport today. Brutal.

So it is that Dave, Sam, Murphy and Suzy Q are packing up their kit bag in the morning and heading back to God's Country tomorrow. With a high there of 85°F today, that's bad enough!
