Hello ... Goodbye
Well, the GAO has something called FraudNET "to facilitate reporting of allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, or mismanagement of federal funds." So I decided to give it a try and sent the following to 'em:
Love you, Dubya. Mean it.
On, or about, October 16, 2007 four members of the White House staff, Irv Williams (WH Executive Groundskeeper), Nancy Clarke (WH Chief Floral Designer), Stephen Rochon (Director of the Executive Residence and Chief Usher) and Mike Lawn (US Parks Service Grounds Forman for the White House) visited Mistletoe Meadows Christmas Tree Farm in Laurel Springs, NC for the expressed purposed of selecting a Christmas tree for the White House. This was reported in the Mountain Times newspaper (www.mountaintimes.com). Travel expense, salary and benefits for four high-ranking staff memebers to travel from Washington, DC to the mountains of North Carolina for the simple task of selecting a Christmas tree might reasonably be considered a waste of taxpayer's dollars in that it does nothing to "form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defence, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity" as required of the US government in the Constitution. So, should I go missing, you'll know why!
Love you, Dubya. Mean it.
