Let 'em Eat Cake

Now, folks, here is as pretty a sight as any you are going to see. It's a flat of the CFO's Moravian Sugar Cake, a regional Christmas specialty.


It's made with a potato dough and has a topping of butter, brown sugar and cinnamon, and will make you fatter than a pig on acorns. But, hey, 'tis the season.

I always suggest boiled potatoes for the meal starch this time of year and make certain that plenty is left over after dinner. And, this is the third batch she has made so far this year!
