Snow Treat
I arrived back on the mountain today to a winter wonderland. It's the first real snow we've have in a few years, nice and powdery.
No outdoor cooking today! The temperature is at or near freezing but with no wind and low humidity, it's a nice "warm" cold. Were I working outdoors, I would be in shirtsleeves.
The fish are hunkered down under a layer of snow over Stone Lake. The black hole at upper center, however, is where the water is circulating. They are accustomed to it and will be fine.
The Hillside Garden is definitely at rest.
Much to the CFO's chagrin, I collected compost materials while in the flatlands. She refused to cooperate in my endeavor and I had to pick through the trash bin to find things she threw away. But here it is in the compost bin!
I love winter in the mountains when it snows.
