Despite the pronouncement that Raleigh is now greater in population than Minneapolis, Tampa, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and St. Louis, there was some good news in the News & Observer this morning. To wit:
The success of the Celebration of a New Baptist Covenant down in Atlanta this week offers hope that the sufficating pall of the Southern Baptist Convention can at long last be broken.

Dick Vitale has sufficiently recoverd from throat surgery to be at Duke Indoor Stadium next Wednesday night as an announcer for the Duke-Carolina game.
