Crocus
Ah! The first flower of spring, a little crocus up by the outdoor kitchen.
The daffodils are soon to follow, perhaps even this weekend.
The weather for the past few days has been spectacular, bright and sunny. When the breeze subsides in the afternoon, you get that feeling that only comes on a few days each spring and fall in which your back is to warm to the sun and the rest of you is neither warm nor cool. I call it San Jose weather.
At any rate, it's been difficult to stay indoors and I've spent a great deal of time in the Hillside Garden doing things that probably don't need doing. Oops! There I go again. In retirement, anything you do absolutely needs doing. And, what you don't do doesn't need doing anyhow. That's just the way it is!
