Hair We Are
By actual measurement with a wooden rule in the hands of the CFO, the hair on my head is now between 6 and 7 inches in length (depending, of course, where you measure). And, that's an awkward length because it's long enough in the back for a pony tail but the sides and front don't quite get there securely yet. Oh, well, I've been told it's a two year project and I've got another 6 months to go. For now I'm just a wild and crazy guy.
Upon retirement I made a solemn oath to never shave my face again. And, I haven't. It's a great time-saver. Unfortunately, hair care is eating into that time saving. My hair takes longer to wash and longer to dry. Then there is the matter of using a conditioner/detangler between shampoo and drying and a styling gel (sometimes) during drying. Bummer. Maybe I should just go with a Yul Brenner look on top. But then I'd be back to shaving again. Nope. Maybe just a buzz cut, high and tight.
As for my beard, I keep vacillating between a full ZZ Tops and a Kenny Rodgers beard. I do think the ZZ Tops style is kinda cool. Maybe when my hair finally grows out.
