Sign of the Times
Now, I make sweettea using The CFO Method. You just place two family-size tea bags in a Pyrex cup with a quart of water and heat in the microwave for seven minutes. Add sugar, if you please, to the concentrated tea before diluting with cold water to make a gallon of tea ready to drink.
I've managed to ruin the tea not once, but twice, this week.
I'm OK until it comes to the dilution part where you place the gallon container with the quart of concentrated tea under the water tap. About ten seconds after turning the water on, I have this sudden urge to take a whiz. And, of course, by the time I get back, water is overflowing the container of now overly diluted tea.
"Why", you might ask, "don't you turn the tap off before leaving?"
Well, when the bell sounds, you respond ... immediately.
Sign of the times.
