Spring Garden
After consulting the Burpee Seed Catalog, I came to know that I was actually a little behind in planting my spring garden. So it was that yesterday was preoccupied with catching up.
After a little "critter control" fencing repair and some tillage of the garden soil, I put in my onion and Romaine lettuce sets as well as green lettuce, sugar peas, radishes and spinach seeds. Then it was time to water everything.
The weather forecast said we have a 100% chance of rain today. In weather-forcastese that meant I should hook up the new cistern system I built last fall, fill it with well water and water the plantings. It's like washing a car to ensure rain, you understand.
Now the wait begins.
Everything should be in and out by the end of May when it will be time to plant the summer garden in their places.
