Whitehead

I almost forgot. When I was in the flatlands last week I went to the eyeball doctor to get 'em checked out. While there, I took the opportunity to update my address:

"Street address?"

"281 Deer Park Lane"

"ZIP code?"

"28675"

"Where's Whitehead?"

I nearly pooped in my pants. Their software knew that my address and my ZIP code are in Whitehead. We, of course, haven't had a post office in decades since the USPS closed the one located in a corner of the White Community Store and began serving us here in Whitehead out of the Sparta past office.

"Well, it's in Alleghany County."

"Where's Alleghany County?"

"Next to the last county in North Carolina on the Virginia line."

"What's there?"

"Nothing."

So, you can send me mail to Whitehead, NC 28675 and I'll still get it.
