Blogger Block

I'm having an attack of the dreaded Blogger Block. Nothing is coming out the end of the pipe. And, that's a bummer. So, here's the best I can do.

I drove off the mountain on Friday and had lunch at the store in Thurmond. The place is getting very popular. So popular, in fact, that I ate my lunch while standing, using stack of sacks of feed for a table.

My first stop to buy my new camera was at the Walmart in Elkin. Trouble was that they had no cameras whatsoever. They were in transit for the current Walmart to a new Super Walmart across town.

My next stop was in Yadkinville for gasoline. I've a new procedure for reducing the cost of a full tank of gas. I refill when the tank is half full and can "fill 'er up" for about $30.

The Walmart in Winston-Salem did have my camera. However, on my return to I-40, an exit off Jonestown Road towards Greensboro doesn't exist. Accordingly, I drove down Old Vineyard Road and found nothing I recognized from my childhood.

The remainder of the trip to Cary, at speeds 10 mph less than usual to conserve gasoline, was uneventful.

The CFO and I visited the big flea market at the N. C. State Fair Grounds yesterday and found nothing I was looking to acquire. Murphy and Sam were a big hit, however. Visits to the Carolina Pines Dog Park, Earp's Fish Market and the N. C. State Farmers Market completed the afternoon.

The Sunday N&O was totally uninspiring.

Blogger block.
