I Quit
My labors are done!
The last brush of paint is spread. The last screw driven. The last ... anything resembling work completed. As the old song goes, "You don't know I ain't gonna tell you, from now on it's up to you fellow." Hey, it ain't my house.
Wawa and Ed have plenty left to do. As for me, I'm off for Cary and an appointment with the silver snake on Thursday. Ever wonder why they give you the amnesia drug, Versed, while performing the procedure? That, and why they ask you not to plan to leave the area for seven days?
I am always reminded at times like this of what George Bernard Shaw had to say about doctors:

The fact that doctors themselves die of the same diseases they profess to cure passes unnoticed. If I had know I was going to live this long, I'd have taken better care of myself.
