Never a Dull Moment

Midafternoon — right in the middle of my nap — I heard what appeared to be a swam of huge bumblebees coming down the road on the hill beside the house. It was, in fact, the folks arriving with the materials and equipment to repave the road.


Poor Sam and Murph had to stay on the deck the whole time to avoid literally becoming "tar heels".


Anyhow, by 6:00 this section of Deer Park Lane had a spanking new surface.


The original surface lasted 20 years. Not bad, I would say.
