Police Blotter/Court Room Report

Seems that Ashley Jamie Leimbach was charged in Alleghany County with communicating threats on May 21. She apparently threatened to do physical harm to Brittany Hunt. Now Leimbach is the way they spell the family name in Germany. MY ancestor who came to this country in 1723 changed the spelling to Leinback. So, I don't reckon she is a kissing cousin anyhow. And, with a little luck, she acquired the name by marriage.

Donald White was charged with causing damage to personal property. Seems he not only damaged, but also destroyed, a brick veneer house belonging to John Issac White. Sounds like a family feud to me.

Jimmy Lee Bobbit was charged with possessing a turkey, knowing it had been unlawfully taken. That would, of course, be a wild turkey.

Over in the courthouse, Larry Thomas Miller was found guilty of trapping a fox during closed season. He was fined $200 and court costs, and he has to turn the dead fox over to the Wildlife Commission. He is appealing the case. (OK, boys, the "dead fox" rule is in effect on all golf courses in Alleghany County until this thing is resolved.)

Russell Brooks was found guilty of assault on a female. The victim asked that he not be incarcerated. So he got 75 days suspended sentence and had to give her computer back to her that day. Charges of damaging the computer were dismissed.

I'm still trying to learn what happened to the guy and gal who stole the trout.
