Had to Happen

The CFO says she is keeping Big Alli and we bought her a helmet last Saturday. So, just to keep the battery charged, I drove the scooter into town today for groceries.

I gotta tell you, Big Alli is still a hoot to ride. Unlike Buster where the throttle is usually just cracked a bit most of the time, the scooter lets you crank it wide open frequently. Do that on Buster and you'll end up on your back watching the front wheel passing overhead.

Anyhow, my riding skills are improving daily and things are becoming more instinctive. One of the big challenges for me has been the hairpin turn on Waterfall Road at the old Tom Pruitt house. It's a steep uphill turn of about 160° and today I leaned Big Alli so much that I drug the transmission housing on the pavement. Had to happen. What a thrill!
