The Criminal Element
As I drove down the back side of Waterfall Road yesterday on my way to the county dump, I passed the Great Trout Littering crime scene shown here.
Having seem no evidence of "destruction of wooded lots" there, I decided to risk my reputation by stopping at the Peaceful Valley Trout Farm and possibly being seem in the presence of fish-littering criminals.
Only C.B. was there and he naturally professed to be wrongfully accused of the crime. He further indicated that nobody knew who Kenny Bowman, the other accused, might be. Jim Bowman, the owner, was away cutting hay on his farm down in Yadkin County.
Now, its likely that the boys will encounter some legal fees in the defense of their innocence. Accordingly, to help defrey their costs, I bought a trout for dinner .
Tomatoes from the garden, cubed. Green beans from the garden, steamed in a bamboo rice cooker. Rainbow trout raised by the criminally accused sauteed in butter in the big cast iron skillet. Mmmmmm.
