Professional
Yep, I'm now a professional mushroom producer.
The mushrooms had to be picked this morning and I ended up with nearly 40 pounds of them. What to do?
I stopped at Hawk's Produce first. Clifford wasn't much on the idea of selling mushrooms but I persisted with him to give it a try. First customer who came to the checkout bought some. So, Clifford decided maybe we could sell some after all. At $10 a pound, they are the most expensive thing in the stand. He liked that part, too.
Next up was Louie's German Restaurant. Mario, the chef, took a look at my sample and said "I'll take a box." That happened to be 17 pounds. He kept flipping out those fresh $20 bills with nary a blink of an eye.
The folks at Brown's Restaurant were a little skeptical but I left them my card, some menu suggestions and a sample to try.
I took a few to the folks at Alleghany Arts & Crafts and kept enough for the CFO and I to have with our Porterhouse steak for dinner tonight.
