Vet School Report

The vet school at NC State does not do surgery on the brachial plexus in dogs but they suggested I try Virginia Tech. Virginia Tech does do surgery if the brachial plexus has not been completely severed by the trauma and that we will not know for a week or so. Murph would have to be referred to them by Nash and that will require him to get his arm out of that cow's butt long enough to make the call.

I've found in my research that brachial plexus evulsion is a common injury in dogs struck by cars and reconstructive surgery is becoming somewhat more common. There is considerable discussion of techniques in the literature.
