OIB IV

We rode the car ferry from Southport to Fort Fisher today and visited the N.C. Aquarium there. Here are some images of the critters in this relatively small, but nicely done, facility. It has been expanded since we last visited with the kids many years ago.

Later we visited Fort Fisher just up the road. The museum, oddly enough, is closed on Sunday. So we just walked around the remainder of this Civil War fortification.

Then it was on to Wilmington for lunch on the sidewalk along the riverfront.

We made it back to OIB just after sunset. This view is west from atop the high bridge.

Nice day.

  1. Hi Dave,

I see you were over in my new neck of the woods. I would have enjoyed seeing you and having a beer or two.

I'm not missing the "Skunk Works" too much these days.

Life is good here on the coast.

Please look me up mext time you get down this way.

    Mike

  2. Mike,

I didn't forget you but the schedule was flexible yet full. Accordingly, I didn't know when we would actually be in Wilmington until we got there.

I would enjoy having a brew or three with you and will I'll call and schedule it next trip down that way.

    Regards,

    Dave Lineback
