Suzy Q

As I was unloading the Jeep here in the flatlands after coming off the mountain on Monday, I came to the realization that I had made a serious error of omission. Yes, I had forgotten to bring Suzy Q with me. Accordingly, after finishing my session with the PT (personal torturess) yesterday afternoon, I turned around a drove 3 hours back up the mountain to fetch her. Not looking forward to another 3 hours on the same roads late at night, I stayed over and left early this morning. This was my reward.

This view is to the east from the overlook on US-21 between Roaring Gap and Thurmond. The leftmost peak (near the center) is Sauratown Mountain. To its immediate right is Hanging Rock Mountain. On the extreme right with the knob on top is Pilot Mountain.

A number of other motorists also stopped to enjoy the view while I was there. Suzy Q, of course, paid no attention.
