They're Back

This time it's the Snowcap shiitakes . They like the cooler weather here on the mountain. Aren't they beauties?


I picked these today and there is probably this many more that will be ready in another week or so.

Speaking of a week or so, we have had no significant color change in the tree leaves just yet. Just a few black gums and hickories in the understory are strutting their stuff. Colors are suppose to be spectacular this year.
