2008 Election Results
As was expected, my man lost the Presidential election.
Bob Barr received 480,246 votes, or 0.4% of the total votes cast nationwide. In fact, Bob came in fourth behind Ralph Nader. Not a real strong showing.
He did a little better here in Alleghany County with 79 votes or 1.5% of the total 5252 Presidential votes.
I'm most proud of the turnout here in Whitehead precinct, however, where he received 10 votes or 2.3% of the 434 total votes cast. That's nearly 6 times the national percentage.
Folks hereabouts are fairly protective of their liberties!
