Corporate Aircraft

Perhaps I've been too harsh on the boys from Detroit. It seems that travel by corporate aircraft is the rule rather than the exception these days. And, who owns the largest fleet of corporate aircraft?

Yup. Wal-Mart.

Twenty two of 'em in the US, two in Canada, one in Mexico and one in Brazil that skitter about the world with a load factor of 5.2. Yes, that would be an average of 5.2 persons per flight. But, to their credit, that's significantly more than the average of 2.2 for all corporate aircraft.

The Wal-Mart fleet employees 77 pilots, 43 mechanics and 10 other staff.
