Sign of the Times
Well, I hung out the Backwoods Bean street sign yesterday and here it is.

I'll still probably a month away from opening. Steady progress is being made, however.
Wawa came up last weekend and was a great help with retail layout and visual design elements. That result in a new indoor fence made of rotting wood "acquired" from a cow pasture (but that's a whole other story in itself). She also wielded a paint brush for a while.
As for the insurance stuff, I went back to my long-time agent and everything was in place within 24 hours with zero grief. So much for welfare at the local level.
On the water side, I got up to two quarts per minute before the weather turned cold again. Now I'm back to one quart a minute. Why you might ask, don't I just run water to thaw the pipe? Well, I could but, if you remember, the well has a finite water reservoir and if I ran enough water to thaw the pipes I would be out of water for a different reason entirely. Catch 22, Yossarian, Catch 22.
I visited with Dr. Susan yesterday to begin the process of acquiring a crown on my #4 tooth. I'm constantly amazed at how much she gets into her work. She's about 5' 2" and non-stop in motion, mind and mouth. Seems she's from New Jersey (Exit 8), has five children. acts in community plays, and breeds standard poodles in addition to fixing teeth.
I continue with hand therapy. We are nearly past the crash damage and are now running into underlying issues (arthritis in the wrist, Dupuytren's contractions in the palm of my hand, old football injuries in the pinkie) that are unrelated to Buster.
Back to work!
