Work, Work, Work
I've been working seven days a week on the coffee shop and it's starting to come together. Here's where it was yesterday.

The walls and trim are painted (nine gallons) and the lighting fixtures ($25, Alleghany Cares) changed out. The bar, cases, chairs, etc. are no-charge loans from the landlord's collection of store furnishings. I did buy the big table in the foreground ($38, Alleghany Cares) and end tables ($8.50, Alleghany Cares). The back bar is a new Formica counter top ($60, Lowe's).

Wawa came up with Spud in tow on Monday and Tuesday to do shop layout and detailed painting of fixtures. Her little green Post-It notes can be seen everywhere. Her artistic talents and retail experience are a great help!

The gallery/conference room is not as far along but the wood paneling is now resting under three coats of paint. How about that orange shag carpet?
I'm in Cary for a few days to shop for equipment and haul back furnishings stored here and there around town.
Later.
