Winter Hawk
One of the great pleasures of running a coffee shop is the stream of interesting people who visit. This is Winter Hawk, a Lakota Indian, who lives here in Sparta and is a shop regular (small brewed coffee with soy milk and a little turbanado sugar).
Here Winter Hawk is dancing with his wife, Kicking Deer, at the gathering of Native American in Sparta last weekend.
The Lakota Sioux are found largely in North and South Dakota. Famous Lakotas include Sitting Bull (the medicine man famous for defeating Custer at Little Big Horn), Crazy Horse (warrior also at Little Big Horn), Red Cloud (warrior), Black Elk (medicine man also at Little Big Horn) and Billy Mills (gold metal winner of the 10,000 meters run at the 1964 Summer Olympics in Tokyo).
Winter Hawk is a practicing Sun Dancer.

As to Winter Hawk, you needs to feed Him some biscuits and gravy with that coffee. Double servings.
