Green They Say
With the possible exception of some color blind folks, I think all of us would agree that the button below is green in color. Right?
Now here is the challenge: Describe the color green in words. Sorry, no comparisons to other things green in color. No scientific reference to wavelengths of light. Just describe the color green that you see.

It is impossible to describe colors with language. They are said to be ineffable.
Green (or any other color) is a state of mind produced when the cones of the eye senses the combination of light wavelengths. That state of mind is the color green. We all know it yet none of us can describe it.
In fact, we cannot describe anything we sense. The smell of coffee. The sound of it being poured into a cup. The taste of it in your mouth and the feel of it as it trickles down your throat. All ineffable.
