The Mighty Frosty
A confession: I'm a Wendy's Frosty addict. A Wendy's Chocolate Frosty addict. A frenetic Wendy's Chocolate Frosty addict. Hooked really bad.
Actually, it's called a soft addiction, "a recurring compulsion by an individual to engage in some specific activity, despite harmful consequences, as deemed by the user himself to his individual health, mental state, or social life.
It's getting increasing difficult to pass by a Wendy's without pulling in for a Frosty, any time of day or night. Then there's the excitement of pulling the cap off the cup, looking at that little pointy thing on top, pulling the wrapper off the plastic spoon n anticipation of that first taste.
Now, not all Frosty's are created equal. Some are too soft. Some are grainy. But, every once in a while you get the perfect Frosty. It will be firm, uniform, smooth as silk, just the right temperature. Lick it off the spoon and it will melt somewhere near the back of your tongue, leaving a wonderful chocolate taste in the mouth. Exquisite.
Is the chocolate Frosty better than a scoop Haagan Dasz chocolate with another scoop of raspberry on top? Nope. But then, you cannot buy Haagan Dasz at the ubiquitous Wendy's found virtually everywhere and unexpectedly the highways and byways of America.
Wish I had one right now!
