Luchow's
There was a famous German restaurant in New York City named Luchow's. Located on East 14th Street, it was the place that celebrities went for Sunday dinner.
I happened to be there on one of those evenings and sitting at the table next to me was none other than Tiny Tim, Miss Vicki and Earl Wilson, the Broadway and gossip columnist.
You remember Miss Vicki, don't you? She married Tiny on the Johnny Carson show one night in a sea of tulips.
And, as for Earl, he is famous for having said "Gossip is when you hear something you like about someone you don't."
