In Search of Spring
On our walk today, Sam and I sought signs of spring in the flatlandsm and what we found were birds. There were robins as big as Cornish hens with their red breasts thrust out, hopping along the ground in search of earthworms. Sam flushed a male cardinal dressed in the brilliant plummage of the mating season. And, among tree branches, finches flittered about as the females teased the males.
Indeed, spring is nigh.
Indeed, spring is nigh.
