CCIE in the House
Kyle's Dad, Wawa's husband and our son-in-law, Da Bear, became a Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert (CCIE) this past weekend.
"Ho-hum", you might say.
No way. He's been studying to obtain his CCIE certificate for 8 years. His certificate number is 20152.
Yes, there are only 20152 Cisco Certified Internetwork Experts on the entire planet. Hell, there are that many lawyers in Wake County alone. OK, maybe not 20,152 but there are 760,000+ lawyers in the US of A alone. And, 633,000 doctors, 161,000 dentists, and 1,270,000 accountants.
Now, Da Bear is also a Microsoft Certified System Engineer (MCSE) but they are a dime a dozen in comparison.
Way to go, Ed!
Oh! Did I mention he also holds a CDC certificate? Yup, he became a Certified Diaper Changer with nothing more than on-the-job training with Spud.
