We have two birthdays in our family that fall on July 25:
Aunt Thriller and ...
... her nephew Spud. Now since Thriller will be in Charleston tomorrow commiserating her "special" birthday and the CFO and I will be in Virgina at a two-day pig picking, we held the family celebration of them tonight.
With a little help from his parents Wawa and Da Bear, Spud got into the gift thing pretty quickly ...
... and the birthday cake thing even quicker. It's a unsettling experience to watch a 364-day-old baby take a big sugar hit like that. But he needs it, folks. Tomorrow, you understand, he will be getting his last sip of mother's milk.
