Laundry Query
For the first ten years, or so, of our marriage the CFO kept our black iron skillet in the oven when not in use. Whenever I asked why, she always said it was because her mother did. I asked why her mother did and she didn't know. So, one day she asked her mother. The answer? Because her mother did not have anywhere else to keep it!
Over the Fourth of July it somehow came to light that I include my white underwear in any load of white clothes being washed. I've never given it any thought. White is white. Bleach is bleach. Soap is soap. The washing machine is the washing , etc.
Well, you should have heard the hue and cry over this revelation.
"You can't do that!"
"Why"
"Because it just isn't done."
So here is my query: Does anyone else mix underwear in with the whites? Or, am I running into another instance of keeping the frying pan in the oven?
An indication of your gender with your response would be appreciated in the event of any gender bias on this issue!
