OIB III

After a nice lunch we spent a couple of hours making plans for the afternoon. Of course, by the time we made the plans it was too late to execute them. So, we postponed them until tomorrow instead and made a tour of the east end of the island.

The east end has been under attack from the elements forever and the sea has now eaten into Third Street ...

... literally. Portions of First and Second are now physically located in the Atlantic Ocean.

Oh, well, the inland side of the island is still a thing of beauty.

The Intercoastal Waterway goes down the center of the sound.

Nice view, eh?

Alas, sunset has arrived and it's time to head out to Roberto's, an old haunt of ours, for dinner.
