It Snowed
And snowed.
And snowed.
And snowed.
And snowed.
And then it got cold. Very cold.
And (a) the CFO and Wawa and Da Bear and Spud, who were planning to leave Sunday, could not get off the mountain until today and (b) even then the CFO had to leave her car here and rent a car in Cary and (c) we (four adults, one 18-month-old toddler, three dogs and a cat) have been without water since Sunday and were flushing the toilet at one time with melted snow. And, I'm trying to open a coffee shop all the while.
I did manage to make it into town about noon on Monday. Here's my view of Air Bellows Gap Road from the Jeep. At some places it was a matter of increasing speed and simply plowing through the snow drifts.
Did someone say that it's March already?
